Google Play Service and Firebase will stop supporting Gingerbread and Honeycomb

Prepare yourself as Google Play Services and Firebase will stop supporting Gingerbread and Honeycomb devices. The latest libraries (v10.2.0) to be released on the eve of Valentine's Day (13 FEB 2017) will only support API level 14 and above.
